Velorbis recently took part at the Cycle Chic Fashion Show at Cork City Hall, Ireland; the event where cycling, fashion and design were entwined as one concept.

The Cycle Chic Fashion Show, held annually during Design Week in Ireland, effectively showcased cycling culture and highlighted just how practical, green and affordable cycling is as a green transportation option. It reflected the spirit and street style from the cycling capitals of the world such as Copenhagen where cycling is an integrated part of everyday life and an essential accessory for contemporary, healthy living.  

On display was a selection of Velorbis bicycle treats: our fire-engine red Dannebrog classic ladies bike, funky Scrap Deluxe ladies bicycle and our urban retro Churchill Balloon gents bike with brown Fat Frank tyres.

The influence and popularity of chilled-out cycle culture, carbon conscious travel and urban commuting is growing amongst the environmentally aware, fashion-forward people of Ireland. Velorbis is catering for this demand by linking up with Thinkbike, the new Velorbis dealer in Dublin, Ireland.

Meet our new US dealer, Copenhagen Cyclery, based in Chicago's eclectically vibrant Wicker Park/Bucktown area.

Great news for our US customers...
Velorbis is Copenhagen Cyclery’s flagship bicycle brand. Our luxurious range of Velorbis  design icons: classic bicycles, balloon bikes, retro transport bikes and fun cargo trikes can now be bought online via Copenhagen Cyclery’s newly launched website www.copenhagenbike.com, at their Chicago store and soon in select shops throughout the US.

The name, Copenhagen Cyclery, is inspired by the pioneering and world-renowned Copenhagen cycling culture, as well as the city’s reputation for and appreciation of great design. A perfect match for Velorbis who also share this philosophy.

The new Velorbis UK website and UK web store forms part of our exciting new distribution strategy in the UK which further enhances our flexibility and competitive edge in the market. Most importantly, it allows us to offer significantly reduced prices across our range of bicycles to really cater to our UK customers, giving them added convenience and increased choice.

Alongside this strategy Velorbis will continue to offer its range of luxury products to independent bicycle dealers in the UK.

Velorbis has a wonderful network of retailers worldwide. We also think that it’s important to have a dedicated concept store to house all the Velorbis treats in the country where our bicycles are designed and in the city where a cycle-friendly culture is an integrated way of life.

Located in the heart of the trendy and desirable Frederiksberg area, the Velorbis range of classic ladies and gents upright bicycles including limited edition bicycle design, student cycles, 'old school' delivery bikes and fun family tricycles; and unique bicycle accessories, are carefully displayed in an art gallery environment.
